Self-feeding is an essential milestone in human development. Children who learn to feed themselves learn to master autonomy, fine motor skills, sensory regulation, and food exploration skills. The plate, thanks to its compartments, allows the food to be differentiated and in order. The four compartments are a good reminder for parents to serve fruit, vegetables, proteins and carbohydrates essential for a balanced diet. It allows for proper food portions and can be rotated for sequential eating. The strong base with suction cup holds the plate in place, adheres directly to the table preventing food from tipping and mixing.
