Frozen, in audio for the FABA storyteller

Frozen as a FABA sound disc: a figure that the child places on the speaker, which automatically plays the story. No screen, no buttons, and no adult needed to turn it on — which is exactly what hooks the little ones and gives them independence.

Big feelings and two sisters: why this story gives you so much to work with

At heart, Frozen is a story about sisters and about big feelings: fear of hurting someone, guilt, shame, anger, missing each other and, in the end, acceptance. That makes the audio a brilliant excuse to put names to feelings: why does Elsa hide, how does Anna feel when the door stays shut, what would you have done? It is one of the most useful stories in the range for emotional vocabulary and perspective taking.

And it has a huge practical advantage: many children are already familiar with the movie. Listening to it with just their ears, without images, forces them to construct the scene in their heads—a direct shift from the visual to the auditory that usually works even with young children who have a hard time paying attention without a screen. Plus, it’s a story that invites singing: singing involves vocal production, breathing, rhythm, and the ability to remember long sequences—and here, it just comes naturally.

What it works on

  • Emotional vocabulary: fear, guilt, anger, joy, acceptance.
  • Active listening to a story they already know, but without visual aids.
  • Taking another’s perspective: what each sister is feeling and why.
  • Vocal expression and memory when the child is encouraged to sing.
  • Independence: The child puts it on and takes it off by themselves.

How does it work?

Just place the character on the FABA storyteller, and the audio starts playing. This character doesn’t work on its own: it needs the FABA speaker, which plays the audio. If the child is listening at home with other people, the Dudun kids’ headphones with an 85 dB limit work very well.

More characters in the collection

Along the same line of much-loved stories you’ll find The Gruffalo and The Lion King. And for traditional tales, The 3 Little Pigs. Discover the whole collection at FABA.
