Description
An adherent plate with 4 compartments
Self-feeding is an essential milestone in human development. Children who learn to feed themselves learn to master autonomy, fine motor skills, sensory regulation, and food exploration skills. Having appropriate utensils and tools can help with the transition from caregiver-directed feeding to self-feeding.
The Itsy™ collection from Talk Tools is an inclusive feeding set designed and tested by teams of speech and occupational therapists and their patients. Ideal material for promoting self-feeding, including infants who may have challenges with the transition to self-feeding (i.e. sensory processing, neurological, physical or developmental differences).
The plate, thanks to its compartments, allows the food to be differentiated and in order. The four compartments are a good reminder for parents to serve fruit, vegetables, proteins and carbohydrates essential for a balanced diet. It allows for proper food portions and can be rotated for sequential eating. The strong base with suction cup holds the plate in place, adheres directly to the table preventing food from tipping and mixing.
