The Laryngofoam filter is intended for patients who have undergone a laryngectomy. It is placed over the tracheostoma and warms and filters the inhaled air to protect the chest against problems caused by cold, dry, unfiltered air.

Description
The function of the nose is to warm, moisten and clean the air that is breathed in. However, when a Tracheotomy/Laryngectomy has been performed, this function is lost. With the Laryngofoam Filter you can breathe more comfortably and reduce the risk of broncho-pulmonary infections caused by cold, dry, unfiltered air.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
- Laryngofoam Filters are disposable foam airway filters. Use one or more Laryngofoam Filters per day as needed.
- Make sure that the stoma area is clean and dry before applying the Laryngofoam Filter.
- Remove the filter from the plastic container.
- Keeping the adhesive strip facing you, fold the filter and remove the paper from the liner.
- Place it in position; so that, the adhesive strip is placed over the stoma opening.
Store in a cool, dry place. Protect from sunlight.
Measures Extra Large 65mm x 65mm (4mm thick). Available in flesh color and white.
Normal measures 65mm x 51mm (4mm thick). Available in flesh color.
