Surgical steel plate containing 6 semicircular lines engraved, placed 1 cm apart, used to evaluate qualitatively and quantitatively some aspects of respiratory and phonatory function (nasal patency, velopharyngeal competence, nasal leakage in phonoarticulation…). In addition to being a very interesting resource for therapy, it is also of special interest for exploration, since it allows the Glatzel’s mirror diagnostic test to be performed, coming from otorhinolaryngology, measuring or objectifying possible alterations of the air passage and the pharyngeal velopharyngeal sphincter. This test is very simple since it consists of placing the mirror horizontally under the nose to assess nasal permeability by asking the patient to exhale air or articulate sounds depending on what is to be assessed (exhalation murmur, presence of air through the nose in the production of oral sounds,…).

It is sold with a protective cover and cleaning and sterilization with disinfectant wipes is recommended.
