Flexible teddy bear cup

Description

Therapeutic cup, in the shape of a flexible bear, to learn to drink with a straw.

The teddy bear cup is a widely used resource in speech therapy and occupational therapy to work on functional sucking, lip sealing and flow control when drinking through a straw. Its flexible body allows the adult to exert light pressure, helping the liquid to come up through the straw without the child having to exert excessive effort.

It is especially indicated for children who are beginning to use straws, as well as for those who present oral difficulties associated with developmental disorders, feeding disorders or oromotor coordination problems.

The use of this therapeutic vessel provides clear benefits both functionally and educationally:

The cup is filled with the desired liquid and the straw with the non-return valve is inserted. In the early stages, the adult can gently press the bottle to help the liquid rise. As the child’s sucking ability improves, this help is gradually withdrawn until the child drinks without assistance.

The pack includes 1 flexible cup in the shape of a teddy bear, two flexible rods or tubes that allow you to adapt the length according to the child’s needs, 1 non-return valve to keep the liquid in the straw and 1 yellow adapter nozzle.
