Description

Foam adapters that improve grip and pressure comfort

Soft foam sleeves that fit over standard pencils, crayons, pens, paintbrushes, and other writing and art tools to improve grip and comfort while writing, drawing, or painting. Their elongated shape provides better support for the fingers and helps reduce strain on the hand.

These adapters help reduce fatigue, relieve excessive pressure on the fingers, and make longer writing tasks more comfortable. They are useful in educational and therapeutic settings as well as at home.

To use them, simply slide the desired tool into the adapter until you find a comfortable position. They require no prior training or special adjustments and can be easily removed when not needed.

They are made of lightweight, padded foam and feature a long design that better distributes finger pressure. They are reusable, compatible with most standard pencils, and come in a pack of 6 in assorted colors, making them easy to use individually or share.

Their design makes it comfortable to use for both right- and left-handed people.

About brand
Special Supplies is a US brand of materials for sensory integration and for adaptations that give autonomy back. Its catalogue answers two very concrete clinical questions: how to regulate someone who seeks or avoids input, and how to let them do on their own something they currently cannot — eat, write, cut.

Sensory regulation and everyday independence

On the regulation side there is deep pressure work: the sensory compression vest and the weighted compression vest provide continuous proprioceptive input without the therapist having to intervene, the elastic body sensory sack supports body awareness work, and the sensory integration brushes cover tactile stimulation protocols. On the autonomy side, the adaptations are small and very specific. Weighted cutlery for tremor and Parkinson's steadies the hand at mealtimes, flexible adapted cutlery with ergonomic grips works when the issue is grip rather than tremor, adapted scissors with loop and automatic opening give cutting back to someone who cannot open their hand, and Kushy Squishy pencil grips correct the pencil grasp.

Hand strength and dexterity

For hand strength and dexterity, the six-level resistance therapy putty lets you grade load objectively and track progress session by session, and the 15-piece hand therapy kit gathers the usual rehabilitation material. The vibrating neck pillow rounds out the vibratory stimulation section.

Why buy Special Supplies at Logopedicum?

This material is used above all by occupational therapists, as well as speech therapists, physiotherapists and families following clinical guidance, and it covers children and adults alike: much of the adaptations catalogue is designed for neurological damage and ageing. At Logopedicum you will find genuine products, updated stock, invoicing and a discount for registered professionals.
