Cortex Access+: An Adapted Version of the Popular Cortex Challenge Game.
The new Access+ version of the popular Cortex Challenge game is adapted for players with cognitive impairments. The cards are larger for easier handling, the tests have been carefully selected to make them accessible to as many people as possible. A booklet with answers has been added to facilitate the work of caregivers and two levels of difficulty are offered in the rules.
The rules are the same as in the original game: win the tests to win the game. Participants compete in 8 different types of tests, ranging from tactile challenges to matching games, logic sequences, mazes and color challenges, among others. The main objective is to accumulate as many challenge cards as possible to complete a brain puzzle. Adaptation makes it possible for all kinds of people to play together and have a great time. In addition, contributions from scientific experts are included, thus providing professionals, caregivers and patients with relevant information about the benefits of the game and the cognitive functions it stimulates.
Game instructions:
- The deck of cards is placed face down in the center of the table.
- The back of the first card will show the type of test to be performed. When the card is turned over, the first player to solve the challenge gets to keep the card.
- If a player gets two cards of the same type of challenge, he can exchange them for a piece of the brain puzzle.
- The winner will be the one who completes his puzzle first.
