The Akros verb self-dictation set has 108 photographs of actions (read, laugh, cut, sleep…) and their 108 cards with the verb written out. The child looks at the photo, writes or builds the word and checks on their own whether it is right.

How it works
The child picks a photo, says what action they see and writes the verb on paper or a whiteboard. Then they find the word card: a five-colour band along the edge shows whether photo and word match, so they correct themselves. Younger children can start by just matching photo and word.
What is it used for?
Akros designs it to build vocabulary, link image and action and take the first steps in reading and writing. In speech therapy it helps work on verbs with children with DLD or language delay, and on spelling and free writing in dyslexia or dysorthographia, always in Spanish.
