Description
The muscle relaxer is a device that can be used alone or in combination with the “bite plane” (patients with extreme muscle patterns or bruxers). Due to its special design, the muscle relaxer allows several functions in the mouth:
– To relax the masticatory muscles, by means of their lateral discs, which have a high vertical dimension and keep the mouth ajar, keeping the masticatory muscle suspenders stretched and with less tone. – Relax the buccinator muscles by pressing them outward at the cheek level. – Relaxing the orbicularis oris muscles by their forward pressure effect on the lips.
This is especially indicated in patients with strong musculature (brachycephalic) and/or in subjects with peribuccal muscle contractures.
– Patients with intense masticatory musculature (brachycephalic). – Patients with hypertonic or contracted lips. – Patients with perioral muscle contractures.
Available sizes: 1, 2, 3 and 4.
