Description
We discovered the animals!
By playing with these special cards, children match the animals to their young and then put the pieces together to build a large scene with animal shapes. This educational game is perfect for babies and toddlers who are learning critical and logical thinking skills.
PARENTS AND PUPPIES
We use Maria Montessori’s three-beat method to encourage the memorization of names. We ask the children to point to or hand us a letter by naming it: “Give me the penguin, give me the tiger!”, and so on. To finish, we consolidate the learning by asking them to remember the name of the subjects: “What is this one called? And this one?”. If the children do not immediately remember the name of a subject, we do not substitute for them and continue with another question. We should try to make the learning path as natural and spontaneous as possible. We can also modify the lesson in three steps to make them establish relationships between parents and cubs: “This is the penguin! Who is your son? Give it to me!”; “This is the tiger! Who is your son? Give it to me!”, and so on.
FITTING SILHOUETTES
We draw their attention to the details and make them see that, in addition, on each card, the subjects also have corresponding removable silhouettes. We take out the silhouettes and notice that, underneath, there are the images of the puppies corresponding to each adult animal. We name the puppies out loud, explaining the relationship between parent and puppy. Contains 10 flashcards and 10 silhouettes.
