Create an AccountARK's Select-Flow valve makes drinking easier for beginners and/or people with oral motor difficulties. The one-way mouthpiece or valve makes drinking easier by controlling the direction of the liquid: the liquid flows into the straw, but does not empty back into the cup. Because the liquid always remains at the top of the straw, less effort is required for each sip and less air is swallowed, so users experience less coughing and choking while consuming more liquids. As a result, users tend to experience less coughing while consuming more liquids. This valve, made of plastic, is very light and easy to disassemble, clean and reassemble.
Especially recommended for people with oral motor difficulties, weak suction or problems generating and maintaining suction. Simply push the tapered end of the valve into the bottom of a straw, and that's it!
For people who tend to drink too much liquid at once, the Select-Flow valve also slows the flow of liquid, allowing for smaller, more manageable sips that reduce the risk of coughing/choking. If restricted flow is not necessary, simply trim the tapered end with a pair of scissors to increase flow.
Caution: contains small parts that may pose a choking hazard; please supervise directly at all times.
