A fork tip, smooth or textured, that can vibrate to facilitate feeding
The fork tip is made of rigid plastic, which can be smooth or contain roughness in the lower area of the fork to facilitate the introduction of food in the mouth, especially in people who have significant motor disabilities or orofacial dysfunctions. Its embossed or textured back is an extra proprioceptive stimulus.
ARK’ s Fork Tip attachments turn any Z-Vibe® into the ultimate sensory feeding tool. Specially designed heads provide tactile input to the tongue and lower lip during feedings. In conjunction with these heads, we have Spoon Tip attachments, which have helped many therapists and parents help tube-fed infants receive their first semi-solid foods.
The Fork Tip attachment is available in two different versions: smooth or textured. The textured version has soft bumps along the back side of the teeth for added sensory stimulation.
When used with the Z-Vibe or Z-Grabber handle, the Fork Tip attachment can help “wake up” the mouth, increase awareness and provide stimulation during feeding – a wonderful tool for any mealtime sensory treatment plan!
