Description
Stimulators with filter to purify the air
The nasal stimulators are two tubes, joined by a stabilizing band, with a flat area that contacts the nasal septum, an external convexity that tightens the wings of the nose, a tab that stimulates the muscular insertions at the level of the wing of the nose and a stop at the external end that prevents accidental impaction of the tubes in the nose.
This device stimulates the perinasal muscles at the level of the ala of the nose, permeabilizes the passage of air at the level of the nostrils and reshapes the nasal cartilages, harmonizing the shape of the nasal pyramid. It is used to improve the passage of air through the nose in patients with:
- Narinary collapse or slowing on inspiration
- Mouth breathers
- Snorers
- Patients with apnea
- Etc.
Nasal stimulators are especially indicated for patients suffering from narinary collapse of the nose with consequent restriction of air passage through the nostrils. Their use is indicated in mouth breathing subjects to promote nasal breathing. By improving the passage of air through the nostrils, it is indicated in snorers to alleviate this problem. This same effect allows to improve the air flow through the nostrils and consequently to improve the pulmonary alveolar oxygenation.
This element can be used in conjunction with specific speech therapy or as a complement to treatment with fixed orthopedic/orthodontic appliances.
The benefits obtained with the nocturnal use of nasal stimulators are of relevant clinical importance for the functional re-education of mouth breathing and alar collapse of the nose thanks to their immediate effect and their medium-term action.
