Description
Practical resource consisting of a cup or bottle in the shape of a teddy bear + flexible straws with a non-return valve to facilitate suction and swallowing for children who have difficulties at this level.
On the one hand, the bottle contains a cap to insert the sipping straw or tube. The shape and consistency of the container, especially soft, allows it to generate a “vacuum” effect when pressed, which facilitates the introduction of the liquid into the straw. On the other hand, we have a unidirectional valve that can be inserted inside the straws to prevent the return of the liquid once it has been sucked or introduced through the pressure of the container. In addition, the stopper or adapter can be placed at one end of the flexible tube or straw to prevent chewing in those patients who tend to bite the elements placed at oral level. This element is of special interest for all patients with sucking dysbilities (initiating suction, maintaining liquid flow, resting between sips, etc.).
The device is particularly interesting because it prevents the return or descent of the suctioned liquid and facilitates this function in any context, providing autonomy in some ADL. It is not recommended to use the straws, with the non-return valve, with carbonated beverages.
The pack includes 1 flexible bear-shaped cup, two flexible tubes, 1 non-return valve and 1 yellow adapter nozzle.
Also available in neutral model with one straw or flexible tube, 10 straws, 1 non-return valve and 1 yellow adapter nozzle.
