Description
The algometer or painmeter is an instrument used to measure the pain threshold. Specifically, it allows to quantify the pain variable, measuring in this case the pressure threshold, which is the minimum pressure that the subject perceives as painful when applied in a gradual and increasing manner. This element is widely used in the treatment of patients in physiotherapy, speech therapy, etc., for example with DTM.
