Description
This book offers a practical and updated vision of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. For this purpose, it is structured in three core contents. In the first place, the most important knowledge referred to the clinical description, prevalence, etiology, the abundant comorbidity present in the disorder and the variations in its manifestations along the evolutionary course are presented. Secondly, assessment procedures, both behavioral and neuropsychological, are described; finally, the psychosocial treatment techniques and programs that have obtained the most empirical support to intervene in this complex disorder are analyzed. In addition, special attention is paid to language, social-emotional and academic performance problems due to their high presence in children and youth with ADHD.
