Description
The bite plane or splint is not used in isolation but in combination with the muscle relaxant, thus forming the MFS Anti-Bruxism Device. The bite plane acts as an anterior bite elevation plane, commonly used in orthodontics, correcting anterior dental overbite by extruding the posterior teeth from the occlusion and causing posterior rotation of the jaw.
The Anti-Bruxism Device is used at night. It is placed in the mouth in such a way that the muscle relaxant element is positioned between the teeth, cheeks, and lips, while the bite plane is inserted between the incisors.
Although the bite plane is used together with the muscle relaxant to alleviate bruxism, it is advisable for the patient to visit the dentist to obtain a correct diagnosis of the problem.
Available sizes: 1, 2, 3, and 4.
