Description
What do we do on a daily basis?
Fantastic photographic resource, consisting of 20 sequences of 6 actions each, presented as cards with full-color photographs depicting activities and self-care routines that are vital to daily living. This material provides useful step-by-step images and written and/or verbal prompts to use while teaching activities of daily living (“ADLs”) in a structured manner. Each ADL is divided into six steps that are clearly depicted in real-life photographs but if desired you can simplify and use only 3 or 4 images (removing those you consider). In addition, the set includes 20 single-instruction routine sequencing cards that can be used individually or together to create a visual timeline or task list for the client.
Material especially recommended to work on basic daily habits of hygiene, autonomy, collaboration in household chores,… and to promote verbal expression and sentence organization.
The pack includes 20 six-step daily activities (120 cards), basic instructions, extended instructions and an extension question for each picture card, 20 individual instruction cards and an instruction and teaching guide. The directions on the back are in English and can serve as a guide but otherwise, with common sense, it is very easy to deduce and expose what the images are intended to convey.
