Stimulating suction
Thin soft silicone accessory that is placed on a syringe and allows feeding the baby with small amounts of milk. It stimulates the sucking reflex and promotes the coordination of sucking, swallowing and breathing. Its use is recommended for teaching sucking, in cases requiring medication or supplementary feeding in small doses of breast milk, for babies with cleft lip and/or cleft palate, with syndromic alterations or neurological disorders, etc. (e.g. Down’s Syndrome).
