Description
Tone your lips with a fun button program!
This OPT (Oral Placement Therapy) activity addresses one of the components of drooling: weak lip closure.
In addition, many clients who have interdental protrusion of the tongue during function have weak lip strength. For example, they may suck with a straw instead of using lip protrusion with tongue retraction to extract the liquid.
Others may use their teeth or scrape the purees with a spoon instead of removing them with their lips. As a result, the lips rest in an open mouth posture. This exercise will target those patients and also develop strength in the orbicularis muscle as a prerequisite for the production of speech sounds (e.g. /o, u, s, s, sh,…/).
Promotes saliva control, lip closure, lip rounding and muscle memory.
A program that works through fun and motivational hierarchy.
Includes: 5 buttons, cord and original TalkTools instruction manual.
