It is only a matter of imagination and assembling different parts (arms, feet, accessories,...) that will allow us to customize our creations. Very suitable resource to develop:
Fine motor skills: having to fit the different pieces together.
Attention and imagination: we will have to create our little friends from scratch.
Visual memory: you can create a doll, or show a picture of one you have created. Subsequently, you will have to recreate the dummy in the image again.
Visual discrimination: we create two identical dolls, which differ in a small detail. Our little one will have to find out how they differ.
Vocabulary: Knowledge of the different parts of the body, colors, concepts of big-small...
Language structuring: describing our small creations, creating adventures with them...
Reading comprehension: we offer a text describing a character. The other person must read it and recreate the character.
Pragmatic: representing situations of everyday life and carrying out a role playing of this situation with our characters.
Reinforcement: we can use the different parts of the body as small rewards that we achieve after each exercise. At the end of the session, with all the pieces we have obtained, we can create our little friend.
The parts are very easy to assemble. The set features four bodies, feet and arms, plus many accessories to customize the characters created.
The kit contains 50 pieces (four sets of assorted bodies, feet and arms) and 2 model dolls. Height of the characters: 9 cms.
The Bus Story is a standardized test for the assessment of narrative skills in the clinical and rehabilitation field. The test is applied to children from 3 to 8 years of age and is designed as a screening test, which can be used for the assessment of language production ability, in semantic, grammatical and phonological context.
Narrative ability is not only an indicator of a high degree of linguistic and cognitive competence, but it is also an essential element for a correct development of learning and social skills. Narrative is a developmental skill that grows and evolves from the age of 20 months. Precisely for this reason, some authors consider that the analysis of narrative skills represents one of the most interesting and at the same time valid ways to measure communication skills. Oral comprehension of stories requires not only decoding the literal meaning of what is being heard, but also understanding and sometimes inferring what is not directly indicated in the narrative.
Many authors suggest that the acquisition of good narrative skills in preschool is essential for the proper development of reading and writing skills.
From a clinical point of view, the test can be repeated at least three months after the first application, and its results can be analyzed as predictors of language development.
The test includes the test sheets with the images, an application manual and an answer template. The test is available in the original version (English) and is easily adaptable to other languages.
