Description
A multisensory approach to oral apraxia
This speech therapy program, developed by TalkTools instructor and apraxia expert Renee Roy Hill, MS, CCC-SLP, is ideal for transitioning patients or students with motor planning deficits from oral positioning or mobilization activities to speech production. The three toolkits provide tactile cues for specific sounds: /m/, /p/, /b/, /oo/, /oh/, /ee/, /ih/, /eh/, /uh/ and / ah/, so patients can feel how and where the buccophonatory organs should be positioned to articulate speech sounds. When combined with verbal and visual cues, they provide a multisensory approach to speech facilitation.
The program includes 1 instruction manual and 1 set of each tool:
– Bilabial forms
– Tactile tubes
– Voice Blocks
