Description
Bottles to exercise breathing and suction!
Two glass vials interconnected by a vasocommunicating system composed of two 31 mm diameter rubber stoppers; four transparent rigid PVC tubes and three white flexible PVC tubes with two plastic nozzles adapted at both ends . The complete product is packaged in a hermetically sealed plastic bag.
Instructions: The Bottle Case for Breathing and Suction Breathing Exercises can be used to assist in the treatment of respiratory disorders and/or orofacial muscle conditions, such as atypical swallowing, cleft lip and palate, facial paralysis, cerebral palsy, dysphonia, and in laryngectomized individuals, among others.
Instructions for use: Place water or some colored liquid inside one of the bottles, as it will not be aspirated. When blowing exercises are desired, place the mouthpiece of the plastic tube of the bottle filled with liquid between your patient’s lips. When you want suction exercises, place the mouthpiece of the plastic tube of the bottle without liquid between your patient’s lips. In this way, the water will pass from one container to the other concomitantly with the oral movements. When the water has completely passed from one bottle to the other, air bubbles will appear in the transferred liquid. It is important that the lips remain sealed on the mouthpiece and nasal breathing is emphasized throughout the process. In patients with pulmonary disorders, costodiaphragmatic movements can be emphasized with long and/or short inspiratory and expiratory exercises, depending on the objective of the professional responsible for the breathing exercises. It is recommended that the exercises be performed daily.
Precautions: the liquid deposited in the glass vial should not be swallowed. Exercises should be prescribed by the health professional accompanying the patient. Product for single use only.
Hygiene: in order to comply with the material processing standards established by the National Health Surveillance Agency – Ministry of Health, the Blow and Suction Breathing Exercise Bottle Case must always be sanitized, both before the first use and after each use. The following steps should be followed: Remove the vasocommunicator system from the glass vials (two black rubber stoppers adapted to rigid and flexible PVC tubing) 2. Carefully remove the two plastic nozzles from the PVC hoses. 2. Wash the glass vials, the vasocommunicator system and the plastic nozzles with water, soap or liquid detergent and a clean sponge, creating plenty of suds. Run a stream of running water through the inside of the rigid and flexible PVC tubes placed inside the two plastic nozzles. 3. Rinse with filtered water, abundantly flowing the water through the orifices of the tubes and nozzles, removing all foam and soap or detergent residues. 4. Leave the glass vials and plastic nozzles in contact with the 3% sodium hypochlorite solution for 30 (thirty) minutes. 5. Dry all components of the suction and blowing breathing exercise bottle case in a clean, dry place. 6. Once the components are dry, adapt the plastic nozzles to the ends of the flexible PVC tubing and cap the flasks with black rubber stoppers, again forming the vasocommunicator system. Pack the Suck and Blow breathing exercise bottle box in a clean paper towel and store in the plastic bag tightly closed.
